Gene Timothy Squires Sr., 69, a resident of Chocowinity, passed away on January 16, 2022 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC.

He was born on July 24, 1952 to Willy and Irene (Ballew) Woolard.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father as well as his wife Caroline Reagan Squires; a son: Robert Lee Squires; and a brother: Patrick W. Squires.

Gene is survived by a son: Gene Timothy Squires, Jr. of Chocowinity, NC; two daughters: Sandra Squires Brown, Danielle Olivia Squires-Smith; two sisters: Rena White, Rose Marie Lee; two brothers: Willy Edward Squires, Jr., Tony Wayne Squires; a grandson: Austin Squires; a granddaughter: Charlene Squires;and a great-granddaughter: Mia Squires.

I am sorry to hear about Uncle Gene passing away. Whenever someone special passes away I always think about the quote "There is no death just a change of world's." He is on the other side now and will watch over you all. This is not goodbye forever. I am thankful that he was my uncle.
